Christian Farrell

Christian Farrell joined YNN in March of 2010 as a general assignment reporter and was part of the Hudson Valley launch team.

Christian’s broadcasting career started at LI News Tonight on Long Island. Other stops along the way include WZBN in Trenton, New Jersey, News 12 Westchester and for more than a decade, Cable 6 News in Middletown, New York.

A passionate sports fan, Christian hosts, produces, shoots and edits “In the Trenches,” a half-hour weekly show devoted to Army football.

Christian has also done play by play for the Pepsi High School Football & Basketball Game of the Week broadcasts previously aired on Cable 6.

Christian is a graduate of St. John’s University. He also holds a Masters Degree from New York Institute of Technology.

Prior to getting into television, Christian worked for Chase Manhattan Bank as a credit card fraud investigator.

Christian is also a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He spent a year in Baghdad in 2006 and seven months in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 2002. He served eight years in the United States Army Reserves rising to the rank of E6/Staff Sergeant.

Born and raised on Long Island, Christian is a proud graduate of Farmingdale High School. Go Dalers!
