UNITED STATES -- Christmas came early last week as national gas prices dropped across the United States. According to the latest Lundberg survey, gas prices dropped nearly two percent last Friday for the busiest travel season of the year.

AAA says they expect more than 91 million people will travel during the year-end holidays.

The average gas price in New York State has dropped to $3.49 per gallon.

Nationwide, the average price for gas is $3.24, up 27 cents from a year ago.
