MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- A movie shot entirely in the Hudson Valley makes its world premiere next month.
The film "Collar" won the 2010 Best Police Drama Award at the annual New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.
The world premiere will take place on August 4th. The film was produced by Willy-Gilly Productions and headed by Nan Gill-Wilson, along with her husband David Patrick Wilson. Wilson said the Hudson Valley has a lot to offer.
"People need to see what is possible here and that is really what is missing. There is not enough information on what film and TV can do for this region. Like i said in the conference, the talent is here, the desire is here and certainly the scenery to make this a very profitable business for the area," said David Wilson.
The film premiere also has timely impact as well because it centers around a shooting during election year. It will take place on Saturday, August 4th in Middletown.
