SAUGERTIES, N.Y. -- After Governor Andrew Cuomo announced new regulations on synthetic drugs in the State of New York on Wednesday, the Saugerties Police Department starts a crackdown of their own.

Part of Cuomo's strategy adds dozens of substances to the existing New York list of banned drugs and chemicals.

Members of the Saugerties Detective Division went undercover to check businesses for the sale or possession of these banned substances.

All locations checked by detectives were cleared and found to be in compliance of Saugerties' Town and Village local laws. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
