DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A traffic stop leads to a Leandra's Law arrest for one Highland woman.
Police arrested and charged Tracey Rennia, 32, under Leandra's Law. A Trooper saw her drifting into oncoming traffic, then onto the shoulder on State Route 44. After pulling her over, officials say she appeared to be on drugs and failed a sobriety test.
Rennia’s two daughters, ages seven and nine, were in the vehicle at the time and were turned over to family after the arrest.
Rennia has been charged with DWAI under Leandra's Law, as well as a multiple traffic tickets. She was arraigned in Town of Pleasant Valley Court and is currently being held at Dutchess County Jail.
