HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- New Year's Eve in New York City means a slew of extra people. In an effort to accommodate all those people, the MTA will be running additional trains.

For Hudson Valley riders, that means two extra trains on the Port Jervis Line and one extra train on the Pascack Valley Line.

On the Port Jervis Line, train 95 will leave Hoboken at 1:25 a.m. with express service to Suffern and continue making all stops to Port Jervis, arriving by 3:38 a.m.

Train 97 will leave Hoboken at 3 a.m. and make all Main Line stops from Kingsland to Port Jervis, arriving by 5:37 a.m.

On the Pascack Valley Line, Train 9603 will depart from Hoboken at 3:25 a.m., make all local stops, arriving in Spring Valley by 4:36 a.m.

M-T-A officials are reminding riders that open containers of alcohol are not allowed on any of the trains.

There will also be additional police presence at all MTA bridges and tunnels in an effort to crack down on drunk driving. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
