SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – It was a special honor for a Saratoga Springs police officer. Investigator Laura Emanatian was named as the department's 2012 Officer of the Year.

Emanatian was presented with the award during a ceremony at City Hall. The award is given annually by the Lieutenant's PBA to the officer that goes above and beyond their normal duties.

Within her department, Investigator Emanatian led all investigators in number of cases handled and the number of arrests from those investigations. She's also responsible for tracking the sex offenders who live in the city, is a member of the internet crimes against children task force and will soon begin working with the FBI.

“This type of work by Investigator Emanation to keep sexual predators away from the children of this community and the children of this state is one of the many reasons investigator emanation has been selected as the 2012 Officer of the Year,” said Lt. John Catone, Lieutenant’s PBA President.

Investigator Emanation has been a member of the department since 2001 and has been in her current position since 2009. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
