POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- There's been a couple of high school signings already this year and you can add one more to the list. On Monday, Washingtonville's Matt Poveromo held his signing ceremony.
Maybe fitting that Monday was also the senior's birthday. Poveromo will be staying in the Hudson Valley region as he signed a letter of intent to play football at Marist.
Poveromo played tight end for the Wizards his Junior year, and in his senior year changed roles to be Washingtonville's quarterback. Poveromo will be playing tight end at Marist and said he's pretty excited to get going.
