We now know the identity of the victims of Wednesday's triple homicide in Newburgh. Police say John Lewis, 43, Pamela Jenkins, 52, and Henry Blue, 52, were shot and killed in an apartment at 98 South William Street. While officers haven't made any arrests, as our Eva McKend reports, the city's mayor is looking at ways to cut down crime.

NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- We now know the identity of the victims of Wednesday's triple homicide in Newburgh.

Police say John Lewis, 43, Pamela Jenkins, 52, and Henry Blue, 52, were shot and killed in an apartment at 98 South William Street.

Officers say Jenkins lived on the first floor, but Lewis and Blue did not live there. The other two floors in the home were vacant.

No arrests have been made in the case, but the mayor is confident city police will catch the person or people responsible. Until then, she is encouraging people to create community solutions to violence.

"Get actively involved in creating something positive for this city. Put your energy into doing what you need to do to make things better," Mayor Judy Kennedy said.

The mayor is also encouraging anyone with any information to call City of Newburgh Police at 561-3131.
