RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Former President Bill Clinton is one of several speakers addressing the Omega Center for Sustainable Living's "Where We Go From Here" conference this weekend.
Organizers say the event has grown every year since it was first held four years ago. While the group's stature has grown, members still want to see more done for their cause of promoting "regenerative living."
Clinton addressed the conference Friday night, and a fellow speaker we talked to says the former president echoed the Omega Center's goals.
"He said every day you can wake up and do something significant for humanity that day. This is a team sport. It's too important to leave to some other country or to leave to the bright minds that are assembled here- everyone must get engaged at a level that we haven't been engaged before," said Bob Berkebile, the Omega Center architect.
Berkebile is scheduled to address the conference Sunday with a plan he's calling "urban acupuncture."
