KINGSTON, N.Y. -- There was an effort to showcase diversity around the Hudson Valley Sunday afternoon.
The second annual Kingston Waterfront Multi-Cultural Fest took place.
People representing more than a dozen different cultures from throughout the Hudson Valley came out to discuss, display and unite the many different groups that make up the region.
"It's not about trying to come up with a homogenous look to the whole thing, but to find a way in which each group can maintain its own individual identity and still consider itself part of a larger community," said Geoff Miller, Reher Center chairperson.
Miller hopes people representing even more cultures will take part in the event in the future.
